Riders in need of services
Dear Fran: I would love to secure a donkey for the voyage to Duwamish. I am partial to Agnes, despite her complaining and crying, but would be happy to work with any fine steed that will have me. Please let me know at your earliest convenience and I will meet you at the stables. Karen
PS, Mme. Eclectica needs a ride too. She's rather stout, though you didn't hear it from me. A sturdy donkey is in order. Mum's the word...

From the Secretary: If you can manage to meet on The Island of the Great White Owl the barge should arrive by tomorrow morning. I am sure Agnes will be happy to be ridden once again by such a tolerant employer. You will recall that she still has her saddle bags and wings therein. She has refused to remove her wonderful horn even at night. If this does not suit you we may be able to have her fly to you if the distance across water is not too great. Karen addendum: We have not prejudice against the "rather stout" but do suggest a cart might be more comfortable in such cases. As the Secretary is remaining on the Island for some time Eclectica might be willing to use the cart the Donkeys Union supplied. Our cart has a choice of wings or knives for cutting pathways through jungle. The Secretary
I am happy to work with Agnes again, and am sure her horn is quite functional by now. I will inform Mme. Eclectica of the cart availability, and she can follow me. We will make our way to the the Island--it will be lovely to see the ferry women again. Karen
From the Secretary: I shall be ever so happy to greet you and Mme. Electica and the Union will make sure the cart is in good order. Perhaps I should ask them to add a couple of springs for comfort. Agnes is most willing to serve as are all of the other members. Yours.
